This Privacy Policy explains how AIIMS (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the AIIMS app to chat with our team. Accounts are available to existing AIIMS customers only: sign-up requires an email address that matches our customer records, verified by a code we send to that address.
Information we collect
- Account details — your email address and display name, used to sign you in and identify you to our team.
- CRM linkage — identifiers that link your sign-in to your existing AIIMS customer account and contact record.
- Messages & attachments — the text, images, videos, and files you send in chat, and message metadata (timestamps, read/delivery status).
- Device & technical data — basic information needed to deliver messages reliably and keep the service secure.
How we use your information
- To provide the in-app support conversation with the AIIMS team.
- To connect your chat to your existing AIIMS customer account.
- To secure your account and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Camera, photos & microphone
The app requests access to your camera, photo library, and microphone only when you choose to attach a photo, video, or file to a message. These are used solely to send the content you select. You can decline or revoke these permissions in your device settings.
Service providers
We share data with processors that operate the service on our behalf:
- Stream (GetStream.io) — delivers and stores chat messages and attachments.
- Zoho CRM — holds your AIIMS customer account and contact details.
- DigitalOcean — hosting and the database for sign-in.
Data retention & deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete your accountat any time from inside the app (chat screen → menu → “Delete account”), which removes your sign-in and your chat identity and messages. You may also email us to request deletion.
